According to Lukashenko, Belarus and Venezuela have long-standing allied relations, and Maduro himself has never been an enemy of the Belarusian authorities.
He emphasized that the possible arrival of the Venezuelan leader in Belarus has never been officially discussed, while at the same time describing Maduro as a strong person who, in his opinion, is not inclined to flee or leave power under pressure.
In addition, Lukashenko stated that he would be ready to discuss the situation in Venezuela and other international issues with U.S. President Donald Trump, emphasizing his interest in such a dialogue.
