According to Syrskyi, units of the Air Assault Forces returned 285.6 square kilometers of territory in the Oleksandrivsk direction over the month. In total, since the beginning of the operation, Ukrainian forces have regained more than 400 square kilometers of Ukrainian land.
In other directions, Ukrainian troops are restraining the enemy with active defense and partially advancing forward. Syrskyi noted that the Russian army has almost three times greater manpower, but is forced to change its plans due to the actions of Ukrainian forces.
The Commander-in-Chief also reported strikes on facilities on the territory of Russia. With the help of DeepStrike means, 85 targets were hit in February, including the Votkinsk plant in Udmurtia, where Iskander-M and Oreshnik missiles are produced. After strikes on drone arsenals, the Russian army used FPV drones 18% less frequently.
Missile forces carried out 228 strikes in February, Air Force aviation carried out 104, and Ukrainian drones performed 293.8 thousand combat special missions.
The meeting also considered the supply of troops, logistics, engineering and fortification works, and the restoration of the combat capability of units. Syrskyi noted that the main source of equipment supply remains its repair and restoration by their own forces, which in February increased by almost a quarter compared to January.
The highest assessment for the results of the commanders’ work in February was received by the commander of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major General Oleh Apostol.
