🤝 The handover took place during Latvian Prime Minister Evika Siliņa’s visit to Kyiv. She met with Ukraine’s Deputy Defense Minister Valerii Churkin and corps commander Andriy Biletskyi.
🇱🇻 Siliņa emphasized that this is the first batch of those promised during negotiations with the President of Ukraine and that Latvia will continue to support Kyiv on all international levels.
🗣️ “We are proud to support Ukraine not only militarily, but also financially, politically, and morally,” she stated.
🔧 The Latvian side expects feedback from Ukrainian forces to improve the equipment based on its combat performance.
💬 Valerii Churkin thanked Latvia for its steady support, particularly for its leadership in the “Drone Coalition” and active participation in forming other defense coalitions.
⚔️ Colonel Andriy Biletskyi noted that the new APCs will be handed over to one of the most effective assault units: “This is the best and likely the newest weaponry our brigade has ever received. These vehicles will save the lives of our soldiers and shorten the path to defeating the enemy.”
