📊 The ranking evaluates cities based on five categories: healthcare, culture and environment, education, infrastructure, and stability. The main decline for many cities, including Kyiv, was noted in the stability criterion.
🧾 According to the publication, living conditions around the world have not improved for the second consecutive year. Despite positive changes in healthcare, education, and infrastructure, growing instability has worsened the overall situation.
🇺🇦 Kyiv was placed between Caracas (the capital of Venezuela) and Port Moresby (the capital of Papua New Guinea). Analysts say the situation in Ukraine’s capital is largely due to the war: since February 2022, russian occupiers have regularly attacked Kyiv with missiles and kamikaze drones.
🏆 The top spot in the ranking went to Copenhagen, Denmark’s capital. Vienna and Zurich also made it into the top three.
