According to Kallas, the current US approach to relations with Brussels mirrors the tactics used by external opponents of the EU. She emphasized that relations with Washington are “very complex,” and EU countries need to be aware of this when studying US national security and defense strategies.
Kallas believes that European countries should not conduct bilateral negotiations with President Donald Trump. Instead, the bloc should unite and present a single, cohesive position.
