✈️ Trump had previously suggested that the parties might soon return to talks and even conclude a new agreement amid the end of a 12-day war between Iran and Israel, during which the U.S. carried out airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.
📺 Official Tehran, however, categorically rejected such assumptions. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on state television that “there have been no agreements or discussions about resuming negotiations” and urged people not to take these statements seriously.
⚔️ Although some Iranian officials, including the president, do not rule out the possibility of talks, they face internal resistance following the recent conflict. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei stated that “Iran has won the war” but did not comment on dialogue with the U.S.
🛑 Additionally, Araghchi denied the IAEA access to assess the consequences of strikes on nuclear sites targeted by the joint U.S. and Israeli attack.
