India’s largest oil company, Indian Oil Corp (IOC), has resumed purchases of Russian oil, ordering shipments through traders who are not under international sanctions. This was reported by Reuters, citing sources in the trading industry.

According to the agency, the company bought five batches of ESPO crude oil with a total volume of 3.5 million barrels for delivery in December. This indicates that India continues to import Russian crude despite increasing pressure from U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration, which is urging New Delhi to halt such purchases.
Earlier, Indian Oil’s Chief Financial Officer Anuj Jain stated that the company would only make purchases if they did not violate existing international sanctions.
