President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen congratulated the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the ratification of documents related to the EU credit support package worth €90 billion. She reported this on the social network X.

According to her, the European Commission acknowledges the swift work of the Ukrainian parliament, President Volodymyr Zelensky, and the government team in adopting the necessary decisions.
“We congratulate the Ukrainian parliament, President Volodymyr Zelensky, and the team for the prompt work on ratifying key documents related to the €90 billion support loan for Ukraine,” von der Leyen said.
She added that the rapid adoption of decisions opens the way for the first payments as early as June.
According to the President of the European Commission, this step is an important milestone in the European Union’s financial support for Ukraine.
