The European Commission stated that the victory of the ANO party led by Andrej Babiš in the parliamentary elections in the Czech Republic will not call into question the implementation of the initiative of EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Kaja Kallas regarding the supply of 2 million artillery shells to Ukraine by the end of 2025. According to her, Kallas maintains constant contact with member states, coordinating assistance to Ukraine and urging to increase support, particularly in the area of ammunition procurement. At present, the EU has fulfilled about 80% of the planned supply volume.
In addition, Hipper noted that the issue of implementing the initiative will continue to be discussed at the EU Foreign Affairs Council on defense matters, which will be held on October 15.
