On Friday, October 3, parliamentary elections begin in the Czech Republic. Polling stations will operate in two stages: October 3 from 14:00 to 22:00, and October 4 from 8:00 to 14:00. After voting ends, ballot counting will immediately begin, and the first results are expected the following evening, reports iDNES.

According to polls, the party with the highest chance of winning is ANO, led by former Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, which is gaining around 29.3% of the vote. The politician is known for his anti-Ukrainian statements, and his return to power could affect the country’s foreign policy course.
In second place is the party of current Prime Minister Petr Fiala, with a projected 20.5%. The third position is held by the right-wing populist SPD, which could receive 13.4% support. Other parties with a chance to enter parliament include:
- STAN (11.7%),
- Pirates (Česká pirátská strana, Piráti) (10.1%),
- far-right AUTO (5.9%),
- left-wing populist Stačilo! (5.5%).
A total of 200 seats will be distributed.

Втім, за оцінками експертів, навіть у випадку перемоги ANO ймовірність радикальної зміни зовнішнього курсу Чехії виглядає меншою, ніж кілька тижнів тому.
