📅 As of July 1, 2025, Denmark has officially taken over the Presidency of the Council of the European Union from Poland, according to the Kingdom’s government.

🛡️ Over the next six months, the key priorities of the presidency include support for Ukraine, strengthening Europe’s security, and developing the EU’s defense potential.
🌍 Copenhagen emphasizes that Denmark’s main goal is to reinforce the European Union as a geopolitical player capable of independently responding to external challenges and ensuring its own security.
🎯 In the context of russian aggression, Denmark plans to maintain full support for Kyiv and intensify sanctions pressure on moscow. Other priorities include developing international partnerships, supporting stable democracies, promoting sustainable economic development, and expanding the EU’s global influence.
🤝 Implementation of this agenda will take place in close cooperation with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell.
