The phrase about U.S. commitments to support multinational forces in Ukraine in the event of a renewed Russian invasion was removed from the final text of the Paris Declaration, adopted following the “Coalition of the Willing” meeting in Paris.

At the same time, the U.S. is not officially a signatory to this document.
According to the draft declaration, it was planned that:
- Multinational forces would be led by Europeans
- Non-European coalition members, including the U.S., would be involved, with a specific U.S. commitment to provide support in case Russia violated the ceasefire agreement
The final version now only states:
- Forces will be led by Europeans
- U.S. support will be proposed, without a binding obligation to provide assistance in case of a Russian attack
This reflects the discrepancies between the draft and the final text, despite discussions with the U.S. during the preparation of the document.
