President of the European Council António Costa reported noticeable progress in the negotiations between the Ukrainian, European, and American sides that took place in Geneva. He stated this after the informal summit of EU leaders in Angola.

Costa emphasized that the discussions were constructive, and the European Union highly appreciated the efforts of Presidents Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Donald Trump, who are trying to find ways to achieve peace.
He noted that the EU is ready to help resolve the outstanding issues and work together with Kyiv and Washington on the next steps.
According to the President of the European Council, the meeting in Geneva became an important stage that gave a “new momentum” to the peace dialogue.
Costa underlined the shared goal of all partners — to stop the war, end the killings, and ensure a just and lasting peace for Ukraine.
