The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, said in an interview with Associated Press that in mid-September 2022, dozens of SBU officers burst into his office in Kyiv, where more than a dozen British officers were present.

Zaluzhnyi prohibited the SBU officers from reviewing documents and computers and, in their presence, called Andrii Yermak, warning:
“I will fight you and have already called reinforcements to the center of Kyiv. <…> I will repel this attack because I know how to fight.”
It later became known that two days before the incident, the SBU had obtained a search warrant for a strip club at the same address where the AFU command post was located.
Allied media note that only when there was a real threat of civil war in the center of Kyiv did the military leadership realize the difference between a command post and an entertainment venue. The incident demonstrates the risks to civilian security during wartime.
