People who were stealing money from the energy and defense sectors voted at the NSDC meeting to impose illegal sanctions against the fifth President, the leader of “European Solidarity” Poroshenko. Because the opposition prevented them from stealing from the budget — Petro Poroshenko said this during the meeting of the Panel of Judges of the Cassation Administrative Court within the Supreme Court, where his lawsuit regarding the cancellation of Zelensky’s illegal decree is being considered.

“Today is the Day of Dignity and Freedom. And for me, this is not an empty phrase, because during the Revolution of Dignity it was my principled position to fight not only for European integration but also against corruption,” Poroshenko noted. He reminded that it was after the Euromaidan that the anti-corruption system was created and electronic declarations for officials were introduced.
“Unfortunately, the respondent takes the opposite position, and on July 22–23 he tried to destroy the independence of the anti-corruption infrastructure. Why? As soon as the Mindich tapes were published, everything became clear,” he said.
“Among those who voted on February 12 at the NSDC meeting for sanctions against me, five individuals are involved in a corruption scandal, are on the recordings, were running to Derkach’s apartment — a traitor to Ukraine — and discussing how to steal money. Five NSDC members voted for sanctions against Poroshenko immediately after they came from this office, which belongs to Derkach, where they were dividing up the money from Energoatom. And this is just the beginning, because less than 10% of the tapes have been released, and there are at least three, maybe four more ministers who took direct part in these processes,” he emphasized.
The court session also showed video statements by Zelensky regarding the sanctions against Poroshenko, allegedly imposed for withdrawing billions of hryvnias from Ukraine.
“On February 11–12, Pronin (head of the State Financial Monitoring Service) appears on the Mindich recordings discussing how they will withdraw hundreds of millions of hryvnias from ‘Energoatom’ into their own pockets. I understand this is what Zelensky meant, because we heard no comments about any withdrawals by Poroshenko or Poroshenko’s foundation,” the leader of “European Solidarity” said.
“I think the president’s phrase that there is a limit and people’s patience has run out — they have undermined the people’s trust in the government. They undermined it by withdrawing the billions Zelensky speaks of. They undermined the trust of our partners, and we risk being left without money and weapons,” Poroshenko noted.
“They tried to deal with me only because I tried to fight corruption, and our faction refused to vote for the Bulgarian corruption deal. Now Zelensky must choose: either he distances himself from the corrupt officials, or he protects them and becomes their accomplice,” the fifth President said.
At the Supreme Court session, evidence of falsification of the decision on sanctions against Poroshenko was also examined. Poroshenko’s lawyers showed a film produced by the “1+1” TV channel, where Zelensky openly admits that the NSDC is his weapon and he uses it — supposedly because it is faster than acting within the law.
The president’s representative in court called on the judges not to consider the president’s interviews and public statements, which, according to her, do not define the position regarding the sanctions decision against Poroshenko.
As is known, today the Panel of Judges of the Cassation Administrative Court within the Supreme Court continues to consider Poroshenko’s lawsuit to cancel the illegal decree on sanctions. Diplomats, journalists, and MPs are attending the hearing.
The previous court session was held behind closed doors. The judges reviewed documents marked “For Official Use Only,” which formed the basis for the NSDC’s decision.
According to lawyer Illia Novikov, there were no adequate explanations in the documents as to why the authorities urgently needed to impose sanctions against the fifth President within a few hours. In addition, part of the documents provided by the respondents had been falsified, he noted. Government representatives also stated during the closed part of the hearing that the sanctions against Poroshenko were imposed for “disciplinary purposes.”
