He stressed that the main focus is not on equipment, but on people: mobilization, recruitment, new contracts, and quality personnel training. The duration of basic general military training has been increased to 51 days, with professional training and an adaptation period provided within the units.
Syrskyi reviewed reports on improving training quality, developing combat brigades, ensuring safety in training centers, and selecting instructors for assault units. Special attention was given to the adaptation of recruits at the beginning of basic training, as this period defines a significant part of combat preparation.
Training is gradually being moved further from the front line, and corps are being assigned to training grounds in central and western Ukraine. At the same time, Syrskyi instructed to accelerate the construction of shelters in training centers due to unsatisfactory safety conditions at some locations.
“I have given the necessary orders to address problematic issues. We are intensifying our work to endure and achieve victory,” the statement said.
