The fifth President of Ukraine and leader of “European Solidarity,” Petro Poroshenko, stated that the disruption of the Supreme Court session, which was supposed to announce a decision today on a lawsuit to cancel незаконні sanctions, was orchestrated by Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Iryna Mudra.

The politician emphasized that a Supreme Court session was scheduled for today, but they were informed that it would not take place, and the date of the next session remains unknown.
“Why? Because the authorities are afraid of law, legality, and justice,” Poroshenko said.
He recalled that according to legal norms, this court case should have lasted only two months, but instead the authorities have been dragging it out for over a year.
According to Poroshenko, the decision should have been made back in April 2025, but a year has passed and no rulings have been issued.
“The authorities tried to delay it as much as possible. They added third parties. Sometimes they needed the Ministry of Economy, then Financial Monitoring, then some representatives from the Presidential Office. Each time they couldn’t attend, each time there were requests to postpone. But in December we had already collected all the evidence,” Poroshenko recalled.
“Every crime has a name. And today I will name two. The first is the organizer of all these processes. His name is Portnov. An anti-Maidan figure who imprisoned and shot at Maidan protesters. The author of the January 16 laws,” Poroshenko said.
“Another person, according to our sources in law enforcement and judicial bodies, is Iryna Mudra, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office, who complained that not all judges listen to her, because this is exactly how a court should function in her view. This is a huge damage to the state. Today, representatives of embassies and diplomatic missions of European Union countries were supposed to be present at the court,” the opposition leader noted.
Poroshenko stressed that this is not only about him. According to him, no matter how the authorities try to convince the EU of the independence of the judiciary, this decision will be remembered.
“So you have shot yourselves in the foot. All you had to do was allow the decision to be announced today. And now you are so confused that you don’t even know when to reschedule the court,” the fifth president said.
At the same time, the politician emphasized that the authorities failed to completely break the court, which means not everything is lost. Therefore, Petro Poroshenko called on the Supreme Court not to postpone the session, but to hold it tomorrow to demonstrate its independence.
“And why am I convinced that the truth will be defended? Because last week the European Court of Human Rights accepted my complaint for consideration, which happens very rarely, only when there are gross violations of Ukrainian law and judicial independence,” Poroshenko said.
According to him, the actions of Iryna Mudra hinder Ukraine’s path to the European Union.
“Once, in 2013, Portnov together with Yanukovych tried to block this path, and we did not allow it. Likewise, now we will not allow you to stop Ukraine’s movement toward the European Union,” Poroshenko emphasized.
