Units of two brigades, where former MPs Stepan Barna and Volodymyr Soliar serve, received the latest shipment of drones. This includes strike “bomber” drones as well as “Blyskavka” models.
Poroshenko noted that while complaints about fatigue can be heard in the corridors of the Verkhovna Rada, these soldiers have no time to rest. He praised his friends, highlighting how they swapped business suits for military uniforms to defend Ukraine.
The drones were provided to the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade “Edelweiss” and the 101st Separate Territorial Defense Brigade, where Barna and Soliar serve.
Poroshenko also shared that he and his wife Maria have personally funded the purchase of 70,000 combat drones of various types, from simple FPV models to bombers and small “flyers.” He emphasized that if even 50% of their drone sorties are successful, it could neutralize around 35,000 enemy targets — roughly equivalent to 6–7 destroyed enemy brigades.
