🔧 As part of the “Steel Front” initiative, the Metinvest Group continues to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense. This time, the company has produced and installed an armored shield weighing over 3 tons to protect key components of the Patriot missile system.

🔩 The protection consists of a metal frame and armored plates that cover several critical elements of the system: the missile system control station, the radar comparator (Doghouse), and the generator.
🗣️ “In this kind of war, every minute the air defense is operational saves lives. Our protective armor is designed precisely for this — to keep the equipment functioning even under fire,” said Metinvest COO Oleksandr Myronenko.
🛠️ Since the beginning of 2025, the company has been consistently working on creating shelters for air defense systems. The first models were installed in the spring. Each new project is adapted to a specific location and equipment type.
👨🏭 Dozens of specialists from various fields are involved in the production, and all work is carried out at undisclosed locations outside the company’s main facilities for security reasons.
💪 “Rinat Akhmetov’s Steel Front” is the largest private initiative supporting the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Within its framework, Metinvest and other SCM companies supply the army with vehicle protection, shelters, electronic warfare systems, drones, fortifications, and critically important equipment.
