An incident occurred in Odesa involving a police officer who, while intoxicated, threatened servicemen of the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center (TRC) and damaged their official vehicle.

The event took place on October 27 at around 9:35 p.m. According to preliminary information, TRC officers stopped a car to check documents when another vehicle approached. A man with a firearm got out, began threatening the soldiers, and smashed the window of the service car with the butt of his weapon before fleeing the scene.
The offender was soon detained by other law enforcement officers. He turned out to be a police officer from one of the National Police units, who was under the influence of alcohol. His weapon was confiscated, and an administrative report was filed for driving under the influence.
The State Bureau of Investigation has opened a criminal case on the fact of threats against law enforcement officers (Part 1, Article 345 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). A pre-trial investigation is ongoing to determine all the circumstances of the incident.
