The company DTEK addressed residents of Troieshchyna, asking them to understand the critical electricity supply situation in the district and not to obstruct the work of emergency crews, including through protests or road blockages.

The company’s press service explained that Troieshchyna is in difficult conditions due to the lack of centralized heating. This has led to widespread use of heaters and high-powered household appliances, which the local electrical networks are not designed to handle.
In just the past week, 26 substation accidents were recorded in the district, and underground cables regularly burn out. Some repair work is technically complex and may take up to two days.
DTEK emphasizes that all company resources are currently focused on prioritizing the restoration of electricity. Emergency crews work around the clock, but road blockages and protests make it difficult for energy workers to move and hinder rapid response to new damages.
The company also urged residents of Troieshchyna and all Kyiv residents to use high-powered electrical appliances sequentially, as this is critically important to reduce the load on the networks and to maintain electricity in homes for longer.
