Lawyer Yuriy Aivazyan explained that exemptions are provided by law but apply exclusively to defense industry enterprises (DIE). Lawyer Vladyslav Deriy clarified that the exemption period for persons who are wanted is 45 days from the moment a new contract is signed with a DIE enterprise that supports the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, other military formations, the economy, or the population’s livelihood during a special period.
If a person liable for military service works at a critically important enterprise outside the DIE, exemption is possible only if they do not have wanted status.
