Ukraine will receive all F-16 fighter jets promised by Belgium, but their transfer depends on the completion of technical procedures and the training of Ukrainian pilots.

This was stated by Belgium’s Minister of Defense, Theo Francken, during a briefing at NATO headquarters. He explained that the country is updating its air fleet — replacing F-16s with new F-35s.
“Yes, the F-16s will indeed arrive in Ukraine, but it will take time. Pilots are undergoing training, which lasts for months. The arrival of the aircraft does not mean their immediate deployment to the front,” Francken emphasized.
The minister added that there is no doubt about fulfilling the commitments: “All F-16s that were promised will be delivered to Ukraine. This is a clear obligation.”
