According to the NGO “Defense of the State. Odesa,” employees of the Peresyp District TRSSC attempted to forcibly mobilize serviceman Roman Pokydko, who had recently been released from Russian captivity and was undergoing rehabilitation in the city.
Despite presenting his documents, Pokydko was forcibly pushed into a service vehicle, exposed to tear gas, beaten, and thrown out of the vehicle while it was moving.
The incident sparked public outrage. The TRSSC stated that actions in response to the event were taken before it became public in the media and promised that if any abuse of power or illegal actions are proven, the responsible military personnel will be held accountable under the law.
Currently, Roman Pokydko is undergoing medical examination, and the NGO “Defense of the State. Odesa” calls for an objective and fair investigation and awaits the official results of the inquiry.
