“Andriy Parubiy is a Hero of Ukraine. What the people recognized long ago has now been officially recognized by the state,” Poroshenko wrote.
He recalled that Parubiy dedicated his entire life to serving Ukraine: during the hardest days of the Revolution of Dignity, he founded and coordinated the Maidan Self-Defense, and later headed the Verkhovna Rada, ensuring the country’s political unity.
“He always maintained a pro-Ukrainian course. He served the state all his life. He inspired comrades and the younger generation,” Poroshenko emphasized.
According to him, for European Solidarity, Parubiy was not only a comrade-in-arms but also a friend, a brother-in-arms, a symbol of strength and patriotism.
“There is not a day when we do not remember Andriy. Hero of Ukraine – that is about him. And no insinuations will ever change this. Because he was genuine. Eternal memory to Hero of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy,” the politician wrote.
