📢 168 civil society organizations have appealed to the National Security and Defense Council, demanding the lifting of sanctions against the fifth President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko. Additionally, more than 70 thousand Ukrainians have signed a petition to President Volodymyr Zelensky with the same request.

🛑 MP Sofia Fedyna stated that the sanctions against Poroshenko are illegal and unconstitutional, as they block the supply of critically needed aid for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Specifically, he is prohibited from making defense purchases, which affects the army’s provision.
📝 According to Dina Habibullayeva, head of the NGO “Solidarity Youth,” human rights, volunteer, and veteran organizations joined the petition. She emphasized that civic activists, who stood on Maidan, oppose political persecution and anti-democratic actions by the authorities.
💬 Konstantin Zatsarny, head of the OUN Volunteer Movement Secretariat, noted that the sanctions against Poroshenko are not only illegal but also threaten volunteer aid for soldiers, which has already reached 7 billion hryvnias.
💡 MP Iryna Nikorak emphasized that the sanctions limit the purchase of military goods for the army, while charitable organizations cannot adequately support the front.
🗣️ Maxim Savrasov believes that the sanctions are part of a political struggle aimed at removing competitors from the elections. According to him, the imposition of sanctions was unlawful, as financial monitoring does not have the right to transfer documents to government bodies without a court decision.
🎖️ Viktor Mosiv, a representative of the NGO “Boyarka ATO,” reminds of Poroshenko’s importance in building the Ukrainian army during his presidency and advocates for the restoration of democratic processes.
