🎯 The head of the municipal council of the Latvian city of Ogre, Egils Helmanis, was injured during a trip to Ukraine as a result of a Russian shelling.

🚚 Helmanis, along with a team of like-minded individuals, was delivering around 20 vehicles and other aid to the Defense Forces of Ukraine. He has been carrying out such missions regularly since 2022.
🌒 The shelling occurred at night, and details remain scarce. According to Ukrainian sources, the mayor’s condition is stable.
