“Russians on social media are spreading videos that discredit the recruitment videos of the National Guard’s Azov Brigade,” the report states.
On Facebook, these videos appear on a page created only five days ago. Its name matches that of one of the Ukrainian public organizations, but it has no connection to it. Such actions indicate an attempt to present a fake account as an official source.

At the same time, on TikTok, the Russian side is spreading AI-generated videos aimed at discrediting Azov.
The Center for Countering Disinformation emphasized that the purpose of such materials is to tarnish the unit, weaken the effectiveness of its recruitment campaign, and undermine trust in it among Ukrainians.
“Spreading such content is a tool of information warfare aimed at demoralizing society and undermining the fighting spirit of Ukrainians,” the report states.

Recall that it was previously reported that Russia continues its information campaign to discredit the prisoner exchange process. In particular, on August 6, pro-Russian media spread a fake “appeal” allegedly on behalf of Ukrainian prisoners of war. It claimed the “exclusion of certain individuals from the exchange lists” and an unwillingness to return them. The Center for Countering Disinformation emphasized that this information does not correspond to reality.
