🧐 In recent days, Polish media have been actively covering the situation with errors made by some district electoral commissions. The issue concerns the incorrect allocation of votes by commission members at several polling stations.
⚖️ Poland’s Minister of Justice, Adam Bodnar, called the situation unprecedented, as the Polish electoral system has always been considered stable and reliable. According to him, the Prosecutor General must be involved in the investigation.
💬 “It suddenly turned out that trust has been undermined, so the commission must accept this challenge. In my opinion, this means a greater involvement of the Prosecutor General. The prosecutor is a key figure in election matters — any elections, especially presidential,” he emphasized.
✍️ Meanwhile, a public initiative is gaining momentum in Poland: over 238,503 people have already signed a petition demanding a full recount of the votes. To be considered, 300,000 signatures must be collected.
📄 “This petition is a civic appeal for a new, full recount of all votes cast in the 2025 presidential election in the Republic of Poland,” the petition text states.
📉 The author of the initiative points to the “extremely small margin” — 369,591 votes — between the candidates and to anomalous results in more than 3,000 electoral commissions, which may indicate errors or manipulation.
🚫 In addition, media reported an illegal practice in which certain polling stations refused to issue ballots, a serious violation of citizens’ rights.
