According to him, Fico may also receive “valuable information” from Putin regarding how the Kremlin assesses efforts to end the war in Ukraine.
Chovanec emphasized that it is currently necessary to maintain dialogue with all sides of the conflict, and that the European Union and European politicians should strive to be present at the negotiating table where a future peace agreement could be reached.
He also added that some political leaders, including those from Western Europe, have already begun forming the basis for future contacts and discussions with the Russian side regarding the settlement of the war.
