The Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, stated that Moscow is allegedly ready for compromises in negotiations regarding the war in Ukraine.

According to him, Russia supports a balance of interests and seeks to ensure that the legitimate rights of each state are taken into account. At the same time, he emphasized that compromises cannot concern “key, fundamental principles on which the life of the state and millions of people depends.”
Lavrov mentioned security issues, as well as the alleged threat of “the extermination of the Russian language and the Orthodox Church,” which, according to him, were discussed in the talks in Abu Dhabi.
He added that the objectives of the Russian troops remain unchanged and are not subject to any “opportunistic compromises.”
