🌏 Xi Jinping announced China’s intention to promote its own plan for resolving the war in Ukraine

During a phone conversation with Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, Chinese President Xi Jinping stated that China will move toward resolving the war in Ukraine in its own way, according to China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

China supports the “Friends of Peace” group established jointly with Brazil and encourages it to play a more active role in the political resolution of the conflict. The leaders also discussed bilateral cooperation, the role of BRICS in defending multilateralism, and countering protectionism, particularly the U.S. tariff policy.

Xi Jinping called on Global South countries to jointly uphold international justice and the rights of developing states, as well as to contribute to the success of the upcoming UN Climate Change Conference in Brazil.
