🇺🇸 WSJ reports that the United States has used more than 1,000 Tomahawk cruise missiles since the start of the war with Iran, along with up to 2,000 air defense missiles.

The report cites American officials and states that the munitions used include interceptor missiles from THAAD, Patriot, and Standard Missile systems. According to the sources, this level of expenditure is raising concerns within the US administration about the country’s readiness for potential large-scale future conflicts.
In particular, Washington fears that reduced stockpiles could affect its ability to respond quickly in case of escalation around Taiwan and a possible conflict with China.
Estimates suggest that restoring the arsenals could take up to six years, prompting the US to reassess certain elements of its military planning.
At the same time, US officials emphasize that there are currently no signs of imminent escalation with China. In this context, a meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Donald Trump in Beijing is also expected.
In the event of a major conflict, the US could temporarily face ammunition shortages, although the Pentagon expects to shorten replenishment timelines through investments in weapons production and the development of more cost-effective systems.
