👩💼 Ukraine’s First Deputy Prime Minister, Yulia Svyrydenko, stated that Ukraine was not involved in preparing the document and that the US provided a ready-made draft of the agreement. She confirmed that the government is formulating its position on the deal and will seek consultations with the Verkhovna Rada when necessary.
💬 Svyrydenko also noted that public discussions on the agreement harm constructive dialogue with American partners, and the government will release a public position once a consensus is reached.
🔄 Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, during a press conference after the “Coalition of the Willing” summit in Paris, said that the terms of the agreement are constantly changing. Initially, a framework agreement was envisaged, but the US proposed a full deal right away, which requires detailed study.
📜 Zelensky emphasized that despite the changes in the terms of the agreement, Ukraine must act cautiously and is ready to support “adequate” proposals and find solutions to current issues.
