President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine has prepared two response scenarios for potential large-scale attacks on gas infrastructure: Plan “A” — maximizing domestic production, and Plan “B” — gas imports with specified volumes and costs.

According to the president, Plan “B” provides a clear understanding of the required supply volumes and their expenses in case of massive infrastructure damage. Plan “A” meets demand through domestic production whenever possible.
Despite limited air defense resources, Zelensky assured that Ukraine will continue protecting its energy system. He emphasized the need for additional interceptors and the expansion of drone launch systems, which have already proven effective.
As an example of interceptor effectiveness, the president cited a case in the Chernihiv region: of 36 launched “Shaheds,” 22 were shot down by interceptors, indicating a gradual increase in successful interceptions.
Zelensky added that the number of air defense systems will continue to grow, and authorities are working to strengthen the protection of critical infrastructure.
