According to him, the US administration is not rushing to end the conflict and is focused on achieving a favorable deal for the American side.
“There are no deadlines. People say I want to finish it because of elections, but that’s not true,” Trump said.
He recalled that he had previously mentioned an estimated timeline of 4–6 weeks for ending the war, but the conflict has lasted longer than expected.
Trump also emphasized that the United States continues its policy of pressure on Iran, including blockade measures against Iranian ports, while not ruling out an extended ceasefire without a clearly defined end date.
At the same time, Washington, according to him, expects Tehran to present concrete proposals to restart the negotiation process.
