The United States has imposed a new package of sanctions against Iran, expanding restrictions on certain individuals and cryptocurrency exchanges. This is reported by Reuters, citing the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

According to the Treasury Department, four Iranian citizens and four Iranian cryptocurrency exchanges have been sanctioned: Nobitex, Bitpin, Ramzinex, and Wallex.
The department noted that foreign financial institutions and individuals may also face sanctions risk if they conduct transactions with these companies.
Earlier, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent suggested that the administration of the American president could partially reconsider the sanctions regime against Iran depending on how the situation develops.
