🇵🇱 The Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski believes that preparations should be made for the possibility that the United States may lose interest not only in Ukraine but also in the whole of Europe.

🗣️ In an interview with Le Monde, he recalled the speech of U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance in Munich, where it was said that “the entire security infrastructure of Europe” was subsidized by the United States, and neither side wants Europe to become a permanent security vassal of the U.S.
⚠️ Sikorski emphasized that Europeans should not ignore this message and must prepare for a possible decline in U.S. attention to the region. “We can and should hope, but also remain vigilant,” the minister added.
🌐 He stressed that the current situation places Europe before a choice: either become a leader on the world stage or end up on the margins.
🛡️ According to Sikorski, deterring russia is entirely feasible for Europe. It does not require matching U.S. military power but having enough strength to make putin reconsider his chances of victory against a united European community.
💶 The minister also called for increased support for Ukraine, reminding that since the start of the aggression, the EU has allocated about $150 billion — less than 1% of the EU’s combined GDP, which is approximately $19 trillion.
📈 “We can undoubtedly do more,” Sikorski concluded.
