Ukraine and Switzerland are launching a new stage of cooperation in the field of reconstruction, which 50 million Swiss francs in grant support. This was reported by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.

The relevant memorandum was signed by Ukraine’s Minister of Economy Oleksii Sobolev and the Swiss Federal Council’s delegate for Ukraine, Jacques Gerber.
According to Sobolev, while the previous stage was mainly focused on restoring public and municipal infrastructure, the current phase places the main emphasis on supporting the private sector and market mechanisms.
The program will be coordinated by UkraineInvest together with the Ministry of Economy.
The new stage предусматривает the implementation of projects in key sectors, including construction, mechanical engineering, renewable energy, infrastructure, industry, agribusiness, IT, and digitalization. The main goal is to stimulate the economy through investment and business development.
Within the first call, 12 projects worth 93 million francs are already being implemented, covering energy, housing, transport, healthcare, and humanitarian demining.
The second call has shown high interest: 37 applications have been submitted totaling 443 million francs, which is almost three times the available budget.
In addition, the parties discussed the possible participation of Switzerland in the Industrial Alliance, which Ukraine is creating together with partners within the “Industrial Ramstein” initiative. Germany has already joined this program.
