Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski responded to statements by his Hungarian counterpart Péter Szijjártó, emphasizing that Hungary has alternative sources of oil and does not need to finance Putin’s war machine.

In a social media post, Sikorski called on Budapest to show solidarity with Ukraine and reminded them of the events of 1956, when Hungarians rose up against the communist dictatorship.
“Please show solidarity with Ukraine’s fight for independence. The heroes of 1956 are watching,” he emphasized.
