🛢️ At least four tankers carrying russian oil are idling off India’s western coast due to increased pressure from the U.S. and EU on countries that continue to purchase raw materials from russia, Bloomberg reports.

⚓ The tankers Achilles and Elyte, which are under EU and UK sanctions, were scheduled to arrive at the Sikka port on July 30–31 but are currently anchored near Jamnagar. They transported Urals crude oil from Primorsk and Ust-Luga at the end of June. Both Aframax-type vessels have a capacity of around 700,000 barrels each.
🏭 The Sikka port serves refineries operated by Reliance Industries and Bharat Petroleum.
⛴️ Two more tankers — Destan and Horae — are also anchored offshore with russian oil cargo. Destan, also under EU and UK sanctions, was expected to arrive on July 24–25 but is delayed. Horae, expected in Vadinar on August 1, is not under Western sanctions.
🔁 According to Bloomberg, the destinations of these tankers may change, but the delays indicate increased scrutiny of such shipments.
