This was stated by EU policy advisor (Bulgaria) and parliamentary candidate Petar Tanyov in the program “Ukrainian Focus. Morning” on Slawa.TV and Espreso.

According to Tanyov, after Radev’s election victory in 2016, Russian media referred to him as a pro-Russian politician, and the Kremlin allegedly actively worked within the Bulgarian information environment.

He also recalled Radev’s recent statements regarding Crimea, which, according to him, indicate a “balancing” position between the EU and Russia.

“The Kremlin invests in politicians who want to balance between Europe and Russia,” Tanyov said.

At the same time, he called such a political line dangerous for Bulgaria and the EU, claiming that Moscow adapts its approach to influencing European politicians.

Some of the statements are personal opinions of the politician and do not have independent confirmation.
