The proposal provides for tax benefits under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) program, as well as the introduction of anti-corruption reforms designed to strengthen public trust in government institutions.
According to the document, the plan includes:
- a two-year extension of expanded tax credits for insurance premiums;
- the gradual removal of restrictions for Americans with annual incomes from $200,000 to $400,000;
- strengthened oversight of the use of ACA program funds.
The new rules will require insurance marketplaces to verify recipients’ status to prevent fraud and ensure transparency in the system.
Analysts note that the compromise between the parties became possible thanks to the active stance of President Donald Trump, who urged both sides to “stop playing political games” and “put the interests of Americans first.”
