Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin stated that the confiscation of Russian assets in Europe would allegedly “undermine trust in the eurozone,” and that Moscow would defend its interests in courts. He said this during the press conference “Results of the Year,” according to the propaganda agency TASS.

According to Putin, any actions regarding the seizure of Russian assets could have negative consequences for Europe’s financial system.
“The confiscation of Russian assets in Europe will lead to undermining trust in the eurozone, because once you start,” he said.
The Russian dictator called the possible confiscation “robbery” and claims that Europe “sooner or later will have to return what it steals from Russian assets.”
Putin also stated that Russia would go to court if its assets are seized.
“In the event of the seizure of its assets, Russia will defend itself in courts, in jurisdictions that do not depend on political decisions,” he added.
