Leader of the “European Solidarity” party Petro Poroshenko said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are effectively the main instrument of diplomatic influence capable of forcing Russia to end the war. He made the statement during a speech in the Verkhovna Rada.

According to him, he believes in the possibility of a ceasefire because, as he argues, Russia’s position is weakening.
“Our main diplomat is the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And the main tactic and strategy of diplomacy is drone diplomacy. Proof of its effectiveness is our drone strike on Moscow, the disruption of the St. Petersburg forum, and the destruction of oil refineries,” Poroshenko said.
He also claimed that Russia is suffering political setbacks in various countries, including Armenia, Hungary, and Moldova.
Poroshenko stressed that Ukraine should not ask for peace but instead force it through military strength.
“We must force him into peace… Our only demand is an immediate comprehensive ceasefire,” he said.
The politician also emphasized that strengthening the Armed Forces is a key priority, and any reduction in the defense budget, in his view, works against Ukraine’s interests.
It is recalled that “European Solidarity” previously called for the return of about 40 billion UAH allegedly removed from the Ministry of Defense budget for weapons procurement.
