Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán claimed that Ukrainian intelligence allegedly infiltrated the personal smartphones of Hungarian citizens through the opposition party “Tisza.” He said this in an interview on state radio.

According to Orbán, Ukrainian special services are interfering in Hungary’s internal affairs by providing technological support to their political partners.
“We used to say: ‘The Russians are already in the pantry,’ now we have to say: ‘The Ukrainians are already in your smartphone,’” the prime minister stated.
The accusations were likely prompted by an investigation from Index, which reported that the Ukrainian company PettersonApps might have participated in developing the “Tisza” party’s application. According to journalists, a database containing around 18,000 users was leaked online.
The “Tisza” party itself denied any connection with foreign developers, claiming that the app was created by Hungarian specialists. At the same time, they confirmed that part of the leaked data indeed belonged to their users but were unable to explain the origin of the remaining information.
