French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte are preparing to present photographic and scientific evidence in a U.S. court to confirm that the First Lady is a woman, BBC reports.

The couple’s lawsuit concerns defamation by right-wing influencer Candace Owens, who spread claims that Brigitte Macron was born male.
The Macrons’ lawyer, Tom Clare, emphasized that the case will include expert conclusions and documentary evidence, including photographs from pregnancy and child-rearing periods. He stressed that Mrs. Macron finds these allegations “extremely saddening,” but is ready to publicly prove them false.
Owens, a former commentator for the conservative outlet Daily Wire, filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit. She has millions of followers and continues to promote her version.
In 2024, the Macrons won a defamation case in France, but in 2025 the decision was overturned on appeal, citing freedom of speech. In July, the couple filed a lawsuit against Owens in the U.S., accusing her of ignoring factual evidence and supporting conspiracy theorists.
