According to him, Tehran has appealed to countries in the region to “prevent a Washington attack on Iran” following threats by U.S. President Donald Trump to intervene in support of protesters.
The Iranian side made it clear that if the United States strikes Iran, American military facilities in the region would become targets for attacks.
“Tehran informed countries in the region — from Saudi Arabia and the UAE to Turkey — that U.S. bases in these countries would be attacked if the United States targets Iran,” the official said.
