Due to the war by the United States and Israel against Iran, the transportation of about 20% of global oil and liquefied gas has virtually stopped, causing disruptions in energy supply.

The note states that “non-hostile” vessels may pass provided they follow safety rules and are not involved in aggressive actions against Iran. At the same time, vessels and assets of the United States, Israel, and other participants in the aggression will not have the right to peaceful or non-hostile passage.
