American actor Harrison Ford sharply criticized U.S. President Donald Trump, calling his actions in climate policy “horrifying” and labeling him one of the worst leaders in history.

The Indiana Jones and Star Wars star stated that Trump “has no policy — only whims,” emphasizing:
“It scares me to death. Ignorance, arrogance, lies, deceit. He knows better but acts as an instrument of the status quo, making money while the world goes to hell.”
Ford added that he doesn’t know of a “greater criminal in history,” pointing to the consequences of Trump’s anti-climate policies. During his second presidential term, Trump dismantled a number of climate protection programs, halted the development of clean energy, supported oil extraction, and withdrew the U.S. from the Paris Climate Agreement.
The actor also noted that Trump’s hostility toward wind turbines has commercial motives and that his “climate legacy” is a symbol of ignorance and cynical disregard for the planet’s future.
Ford recalled his personal experience of being evacuated during massive wildfires in California, which scientists say are intensified by global warming. He stressed that humanity is “already reaping the consequences of inaction” and that the transition to clean energy is happening far too slowly.
“We can still buy ourselves time if we act decisively. But Trump’s fossil-fuel-based vision could destroy that chance,” Ford concluded.
